2018 Renault Captur Coupé

If you’ve been wondering what’s next for Renault, we’ve got some exciting news. The Captur lineup is about to be expanded with a fresh new C-class coupé-crossover that is poised to be unveiled at the upcoming 2018 Moscow Motor Show – quite fitting, since this model will be constructed in Russia for global distribution.

So, what exactly is in the pipeline? As always, we like to keep things under wraps until the big reveal, but here are a few teasers to whet your appetite for the exciting new Captur Coupé.

Trademark Coupé Crossover Styling

As always, the detail and styling of the new Renault model will remain a closely guarded secret until the reveal at initial motor show, but motoring enthusiasts can get ready for trademark crossover traits along with a few unexpected touches. Think clean lines, strong stance, and trailblazing detailing to round it all off.

A Sportier Cabin

The deceptively spacious interior will feature a minimalist central console with sporty trim elements, as well as a state-of-the-art infotainment system. As with all current Renault models, connectivity will be the name of the game, along with an exciting array of additional creature comforts. Let’s just say it’s going to be fun to drive…

Your Choice of Gas or Diesel

As always, Renault enthusiasts will have their pick of gas or diesel, and although the exact parameters of the Coupé engine variants hasn’t yet been made public, we can assure you that there will be plenty of bite to back up its sporty bark.

In short, the Renault Captur Coupé has been developed with the express purpose of becoming the crossover of choice for the masses. With its sporty good looks and singular positioning in the market, it is primed to challenge the likes of the Citroen C3 Aircross, Volkswagen Taigun, BMW X6 and Mercedes GLE Coupé.

DID YOU KNOW? The term ‘coupé’ was derived from the French language verb ‘couper’, which translates to ‘cut’. It was initially used to describe horse-drawn carriages for two passengers without rear-facing seats.

While we wait to learn whether the fresh new Captur Coupé will be making its way to South African showroom floors, feel free to get in touch with your closest Renault branch to test drive the current models we have on offer.
