With over 1220 square metres of space to for designers to conceptualise and plan new models, the centre includes an indoor showroom, outdoor showroom, mock-up workshop, virtual reality studio and a creative lounge!
The indoor showroom is an interactive prototype evaluation room with a 360º rotating platform and a 216-inch high-definition screen for presentations, modelling and analysis. The outdoor showroom is a place for models and prototypes to be assessed in daylight from different angles and distances. The mock-up workshop is for the development of physical prototypes at different scales to turn 2D design into 3D design. Next is the virtual reality studio for ‘real-time’ visualisation of creative proposals in 3D. Last but not least, the creative lounge is for brainstorming between teams and for collaboration on new concepts.
“These new facilities enable our designers to carry out end-to-end vehicle development, using state-of-the-art equipment in line with the most advanced systems adopted by Renault worldwide,” said Daniel Nozaki, Design Director at the Renault Design Center LatAm.
No doubt Renault’s of the future will benefit from the Latino touch thanks to this outstanding creative centre. We can’t wait to see what will be next from the region and its spillover to global designs.
